Colin Basinger is this months Employee Highlight. Colin is the National Sales Manager for Crosby and operates from our offices in Brampton, Canada. He is a 7-year veteran with Crosby.

What do you enjoy most about your job? 

I enjoy the people I work with but also the people in our industry. I have been in this industry for over 32 years and have worked with many of our customers for years. Not only are they business associates but I am also fortunate to consider many of them friends. Every day brings a new challenge and new questions on the use of Crosby products. There is always something new to learn even after 32 years.

What are some of the activities you enjoy the most outside of work? 

My wife and I enjoy cycling, just for recreation, although she did sign us up for a charity ride of 720 kms in 7 days a few years back. I also enjoy doing home improvement projects and helping family and friends with their projects as well. 

At Crosby, we love to hear from our customers and we like to brag on our team members when they deserve an, “Adda Boy.”

In our Employee Highlight series, we will be introducing you to various Crosby Team Members. Many are old pros you may know, others are new and some have been with us a while but haven't been in the limelight much. The first up is Mike Wheeler, Director of Marketing. 

Here at Crosby, we can’t help but keep an eye out for our products in the world around us. Whether it’s passing a construction site on the commute to work or watching a news story about a heavy-lift operation, it’s difficult not to get excited by the flash of a red pin or the momentary glance of an orange hook. There’s a “behind the scenes” sense of pride that comes with seeing Crosby products in prominent places, even when you know the average person standing next to you would likely never share the same experience of recognition.

Crosby Hires Bob Myers as the New Block and Sheave Product Specialist

The Tulsa, Oklahoma, based Crosby Group, a global leader in accessories for lifting and material handling applications, has announced the addition of Bob Myers as the Block and Sheave Product Specialist for The Crosby Group. In his new role, Bob is responsible for sales and marketing support for Crosby’s distribution partners, OEMs and end users who have chosen or are considering Crosby blocks and sheaves for their lifting solutions.

Bob will be working closely with multiple resources within Crosby to identify new product innovations, develop new tools, promote Crosby’s design and performance benefits, and assist the extended Crosby sales organization along the successful growth trajectory that the block and sheave product line has enjoyed to date.

Crosby Hires Andy Vogl as the Vice President-Sales

The Tulsa, Oklahoma, based Crosby Group, a global leader in accessories for lifting and material handling applications, has announced the addition of Andy Vogl to The Crosby Group as the Vice President-Sales. As the VP-Sales, Andy has oversight for Crosby Group sales on a global basis. 

Crosby Promotes Jeff Ferchen to National Sales Manager-United States

The Tulsa, Oklahoma, based Crosby Group, a global leader in accessories for lifting and material handling applications, has announced the promotion of Jeff Ferchen to the role of National Sales Manager-U.S. for The Crosby Group. Jeff will be responsible for coordinating all Crosby Group sales activity as it relates to the U.S.-based sales team and distribution partners. 

Crosby Hires Donna DeWitt as the Director-Operational Excellence

The Tulsa, Oklahoma, based Crosby Group, a global leader in accessories for lifting and material handling applications, has announced the addition of Donna DeWitt as the Director-Operational Excellence and Quality for The Crosby Group. As Director-Operational Excellence and Quality, Donna will be responsible for the global coordination of quality resources and programs as well as Crosby’s overall operational excellence activities.
